Sizing Chart INSANE August 28, 2010 Ken Chappell (Mid-MO) 0 out of 1 found this review helpful
The sizing chart lists a male, XL calf girth as 45-48 INCHES. If you have this size calves, don't buy these sleeves, butcher those calves & put them in the freezer for the Winter!!!!!
Calf Guard Socks June 14, 2010 Adam S. Morgan (Lake City, FL) I wear these socks when I participate in races or am running in a non-competitive environment. It takes a lot of pressure off of my legs and was a very worth investment.
Great looks, good compression, generates little heat, and a little pricey July 1, 2009 Randy L. Thurman (Oklahoma City, OK United States) 25 out of 25 found this review helpful
I had a major knot in my leg and in a panic bought 3 different kinds of calf guards. I needed to run and was worried about being able to. The McDavid brand was the only brand that worked for me when I had the knot. This is because the McDavid brand gave good compression and generated heat. After my leg improved, I switched to the 2XUs. The 2XUs, I feel, looked better, and gave good compression. Great for maintaining the calf muscle. It doesn't generate heat, which can be a downside if you need that. It is also a tad pricey. It packs well when traveling, taking up almost no space at all, especially when compared to the McDavid, which does take up a little more space. One very important point is to be sure you size them properly. The sizing varies greatly from brand to brand. If you want something to maintain, you don't need heat, and you don't mind the price then these would be great calf guards for you. Hope that helps.
